Typical 3-3 layout — not airline-exact. Your airline's rows, exit positions and pitch can differ; check your airline's seat map or aeroLOPA for your exact flight. Verified 2026-05.
✅ Best seats
- Over-wing exit rows — Iberia 28/29, Aer Lingus 14/15, Qantas 15/16, Air Canada 19/20, IndiGo 14/15 — 34–40 in of pitch.
- The extra-legroom row just behind the exits (e.g. Aer Lingus row 15 — 35 in AND full recline).
- Front Economy — on a 7–10 h single-aisle leg, deplaning early matters more than ever.
⛔ Avoid
- Last rows by the rear galley/lavs (Iberia 47–48, Air Canada 37–39) — the whole cabin queues past you.
- The row ahead of an exit (Iberia 27, Aer Lingus 13) — recline is blocked.
- Any standard ~30–31 in seat on the longest routes — this is a narrow-body flying widebody missions.
Good to know
- Row numbers are NOT comparable across XLR operators — Iberia's Economy runs 21–48, Air Canada's 12–39, Aer Lingus's 7–34. On this jet especially, check your own airline's map: 'row 14' can be an exit row or a random middle.
- A permanent rear fuel tank gives ~4,700 nm of range — why Dublin–Nashville and Madrid–Boston now board a single-aisle.
