About Travel Lote
A kit of free travel micro-tools that each answer one question fast — which seat, will my bag fit, which adapter — then get out of your way. No account, no paywall, no pop-ups.
Who makes this
Travel Lote is built and maintained by Quyen Ngo, working solo. It started in mid-2026, shortly after SeatGuru shut down, as a free, no-signup replacement for the small travel questions that suddenly had no good answer — and it grew into the toolkit you see in the sidebar.
Questions, corrections, or want a tool for your own site? Email quyenngo411@gmail.com — corrections especially are always welcome.
Where the data comes from — and how it's checked
- Seat maps (verified 2026-05) — built per aircraft type from published cabin layouts and cross-checked against aeroLOPA and SeatMaps.com. Guidance is by aircraft type; airlines customise cabins, and every page says so.
- Baggage rules (verified 2026-06) — taken from each airline's official baggage page, with the source linked on every airline's page. Fees drift fast; each page carries its verification date.
- Plug & voltage data (verified 2026-07) — from public IEC standards and country electrical specifications.
- Aircraft photos — openly licensed (CC/public domain) via Wikimedia Commons, credited under every image.
Nothing here is AI-scraped filler: datasets are compiled and verified by hand, dated, and corrected when readers point out drift. When something varies by airline or route, the tools say "check your carrier" rather than guessing.
How the site earns (and what it never does)
Some links to flights, hotels and travel gear are affiliate links — if you book or buy through them, the site earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's the entire business model, and it's what keeps every tool free with no account and no paywall. There are no pop-ups, no display-ad clutter, and the tools store your inputs only in your own browser — never on a server.
